Miller Motorsports Park was witness to a great day in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series as every driver and every team tried real hard to give in their best and try to grab as much points as they could.With Utah 250 being the penultimate race of the season it was more or less expected as well.It was a great chance for Jeff Segal and Emil Assentato to keep up the good work they had been doing in the last couple of races and they surely managed to get the best out of the opportunity.The duo drove like champions to emerge victorious in the Rolex Series GT class at the Utah 250 and end the weekend on a happy note.Driving in their No 69 FXDD Mazda RX-8 the experienced team won its 2nd race of the season and 2nd in the last three races as well.Jeff Segal and Emil Assentato form a very formidable racing duo but somehow their start in the racing season wasn’t exactly what they would have liked it to be.They started off the Rolex Series GT class 2009 season with a top 10 finish at the Rolex 24 At Daytona but performed pretty badly in the subsequent races.The middle of the season was more or less satisfying for the team with five top 6 finishes.But a podium was still missing and that was provided by their win at the Crown Royal 200 at the Glen.In fact it was more like resurgence for the team as they followed it up with another podium at Replica Accutron watches the Montreal 200.Entering the Utah 250 at Miller Motorsports Park the team had a lot of expectations to meet and they surely didn’t disappoint by pulling off another stunning win at the Utah 250.The track at the Miller Motorsports Park is one of the toughest around for the Rolex Series GT class and it goes to the credit of the driving skills of Jeff Segal and Emil Assentato who raced well to have come out at top in the end.
